DrMax Inventory Management System
An IT asset inventory system for the DrMax pharmacy chain. It is made up of three parts: a web CMS for managing staff, pharmacies and stocktakes, an API layer, and an app running on Zebra handheld scanners where the counting actually happens. Staff log into the scanner with a PIN or QR access token and scan device asset tags on site — computers, monitors, printers and the Zebra devices themselves. Scanned items are reconciled against the ServiceNow (SNOW) asset register and flagged as in order, new, missing or to be relocated. The CMS is used to create, track and review stocktakes and export them to PDF. The scanner app is built with React Native (Zebra Android devices), with a Hono.js backend and API powering both the CMS and inventory data synchronization.
